Messi's Final Argentina Appearance Set For October 6

Lionel Messi is set to make his final appearance for Argentina on October 6, 2026, against Benin at the Estadio Monumental, closing out his international career. It will be his first match for the national team since Argentina's defeat in the 2026 World Cup final.

A Commemorative Farewell Jersey Adidas unveiled a special jersey to mark the occasion, breaking from Argentina's traditional striping with a sky blue base, a broad white central stripe, and tonal rays inspired by the Sun of May across the front and back. Messi's own signature "M" logo replaces the usual Adidas mark on the right chest, rendered in metallic gold.

When Fans Can Buy It The farewell jersey went on general sale through official Adidas channels on September 26, 2026, giving fans a chance to own a piece of the send off ahead of the match itself.
